Participants must be:
- in good physical and mental condition self-certified
- of age
Objectives
Raise greater awareness in the operator regarding the “danger of water” and the risks that derive from it if he is exposed to it during or after very intense rainfall and floods.
Course fee
150,00€ per participant at Kong premises (VAT exempt).
The course will be activated upon reaching a minimum of 5 participants and a maximum of 10.

Theory (4 hours)
- Elements of hydrology
- Elements of meteorology
- Water movements and terminology
- Characteristics of moving water
- International scale of river difficulties
- Artificial barriers
- Natural and artificial obstacles
- Fundamental safety rules
- Standards of self-rescue in river environments
- Approach to areas with moving water
- Communications
- Rescue options
- Personal equipment
- Team equipment
- Self-help
- Theory of current swimming
Training (4 hours)
- Techniques in shallow water (fording,travelling along the banks, etc)
- Recovery methods
- Use of the throwing rope
- Bank rescue techniques
PPE and Log Book
Participants are advised to bring their own PPE (if already in possession), clothing and footwear functional for training.
If the PPE are not suitable, the organization will provide to supply them.
Who has already the Kong Log Book, should bring it in order to update.
Certification
An attendance certificate with test result is issued if the test has a final positive outcome and attendance is equal to at least 90% of the total course hours.
Payment procedure
Bank transfer within two days of receipt of the course confirmation.
Cancellation
In case of cancellation, Kong S.p.A. will retain:
- 50% of the course fee if cancellation is done 2 working days before the course starts
- the whole fee if cancellation is done the day of the course
